This Privacy Policy describes how your information is collected, used, and shared when you use the Bandworks application (the "App").

When you use the App and connect your Spotify account, we collect the following information from your Spotify profile:

  • Spotify Display Name
  • Spotify User ID
  • Email Address
  • Spotify Profile Image URL
  • Country
  • Follower Count
  • Access Scopes (permissions you grant the App to access your Spotify account)
  • Access and Refresh Tokens (used to access your Spotify account on your behalf)

We do not collect or store your Spotify password.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect solely to provide the core functionality of the App. We do not use this information for tracking or advertising purposes.

  • To Save Music Tracks: We use your Spotify User ID and Access Tokens to add music releases to your Spotify library on the release date.
  • To Identify Your Account: We use your Spotify Display Name, Spotify Profile Image URL, and Spotify User ID to identify your account and personalize your in-app experience.
  • To Manage Your Preferences: If you opt in to automatically presave new releases from an artist, we store this preference to add future releases to your library.
  • To Communicate With You: We may use your Email Address to send you important updates about the App or your account, such as confirmation of a presave.
  • For Personalization: We use your Country and Follower Count to personalize the user interface and improve the App's core features. This data is not used to personally identify you for any other purpose.

3. Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not share your personal information with any third-party advertisers or data brokers.

We may share your information with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating the App, such as:

  • Cloud Hosting Providers: To securely store your data.
  • Task Scheduling Services: To run scheduled jobs that add releases to your library.

These providers are contractually obligated to protect your information and are prohibited from using it for any other purpose.

We may also disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to a valid request from a government authority.

4. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services. If you wish to delete your account and all associated data, please contact us.

5. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
